So if one of your resolutions is to work on your finances, you are at the right place! Even if it’s not one of your resolutions, you’re still at the right place :)
I spent years being really scared of how much money was in my bank account (especially college).
At the end of the day, money is a tool to get where you want.
Retirement… it’s 40 some years away for me and yet I’m saving for it??? Does this make sense?? Yes. It might not make any sense because you feel like you’re not even earning enough to support yourself. I know, it freaking sucks to feel that way. But compounding interest can make a huge difference!
