Personal Finance Starter Pack: Intro / Prologue

It’s always important to be in control of your finances. Along with the new year, I’m going to be posting a 10 part personal finance series. The goal with this series is to learn how to manage your money and also know what to do with your money. So if one of your resolutions is to work on your finances, you are at the right place! Even if it’s not one of your resolutions, you’re still at the right place :)

You can watch my corresponding Youtube video here.

I’ll cover what my money philosophies are and link the URL for each topic as I upload them.

Money Philosophies

You can also call this money values, how I view money, etc. But basically, these values dictate my relationship with money. All my actions concerning money make sense if you know my money philosophies.

  1. Save more than you spend

  2. Invest in yourself right now and in the future

    1. In the future - retirement accounts, health savings accounts, etc. (saving money for the future)

    2. For now - increasing your worth by spending money on yourself

  3. The biggest money maker in your life -- is you

    1. This is multifaceted - the money you make from your career can propel your investment

    2. If you’re not healthy, then it’s harder to get everything -- so take care of yourself. Health is wealth!

  4. There is nothing wrong with talking about money

    1. Talking about money can help you gain confidence in your money habits

  5. Money can't buy you happiness but it’s really hard to be happy without money
